Behind the Scenes
High Hopes: Need in Deed Night at the Phillies

Endless Thanks for a Fantastic Event!

Tuesday, June 5th may not have been the Phillies’ best game, but our friends, supporters, teachers and students sure hit one out of the park for Need in Deed’s 25th Anniversary!

Over 900 people came out to show their support for our organization while cheering for the home team. We are so grateful to our sponsors for helping us give 550 NID students, chaperones and teachers the full ballpark experience, including food and drink vouchers donated by Aramark. We’re also thankful to the Citizens Bank “Ballpark Bankers” volunteers who were instrumental in distributing those 550 tickets, vouchers and t-shirts at the Phillies Party Tent before the game.

The following companies very generously lent us their suites for the night:

  • Ballard Spahr
  • Citizens Bank
  • Conestoga Bank
  • Eastern Alliance
  • The PFM Group

We were also fortunate to be given seats in the Dixon Suite, the Owners’ Suite, and the Mayor’s Suite. Mayor Michael Nutter himself was kind enough to stop by to greet NID teachers Gretchen Matteo and Bianca Bonanno and several of their students. Thank you, Mayor Nutter – it was an unforgettable experience!

Many thanks also to Anthropologie, The Compass North Companies, all of our individual sponsors, and of course, the Phillies for making this a night to remember. Check out photos from the event on Facebook, and feel free to post your own pictures, memories and comments from the night!
